Safe travels home! How was it? :D
Just got home! Wheeee! :D It was fantastic and wonderful and going to work tomorrow is going to be such a drag. :P
Essbee ( futuremrswatson ), Kate, ( pictures-to-prove-it ) and Bfab ( bfab11 ) were all amazing and perfect and it felt like being at home with our friends, Diane. It was absolutely lovely.

We're taught that "not taking no for an answer" makes you driven and ambitious and successful instead of just an asshole who won't listen.
I think this is exactly right. Like, it's just the pervasive cultural thing that says "If you never give up asking, people will eventually give you what you want." It's so frustrating.

Interesting because this year my class is more "everything is open for negotiation" than ever before
Generally my courses are pretty open for negotiation. The only things that I'm not very lenient about are hard deadlines (I can't accept any papers after a certain point in the semester because I literally will not have time to grade them all) and attendance, because it's a program-mandated policy. That said, once I lay down the law, and have responded to you individually once, I am done talking about it. This is my ruling. We're done. You know?

I'm so sorry. That makes me think I should sneak in a consent lesson sometime. :/
I think I just need to put consent lessons in every single thing I do. ::sigh::

Tabetha?
She's aware. :) Like I said, I don't fear for anyone's safety or anything. It's just a frustrating thing to deal with.

Of course! I'm still not sure yet - I'm waiting for a person's plate to clear, first. :)
<3 <3 Cool. I am just going to do my best to have EVERYTHING graded by then, and then it won't matter. :D

I'm thinking this weekend in your neighborhood could be a thing...?
If that happens I will definitely make time to visit with you. Just let me know so I can do my best to like, plan. Lol

And your cardigan is cute, too. I hope your Monday gets better. <3
Thanks doll. We should chat soon. <3

WOWOWOW! So lovely!! Perfect for summer. <3
Thank you darlin'! And, I agree. Hair-in-your-face is fine for winter, but in summer months I need a way to keep it out of my eyes and off my neck!
