Today we took a stroll through a pleasantly misty and wet park in Sendai called Dianohara Forest Park. It lives up to the forest part of its name. Some areas reminded me of one of my favorite video games, Myst. In particular, the boardwalks in the pond area remind me of Channelwood. Unfortunately, due to the weather and my lack of professional photography skills, the pictures are a little blurry.
On a side note, I'd like to mention that I'm playing my first Pokemon game ever, Heartgold, and I like it! The Pokewalker is included in this picture set (more info in the caption.) Before I played, I thought it was just about creatures battling, but that isn't really true. It's about collecting a bunch of cute animals and treating them like your friends (and apparently they like battling.) Rival trainers in the game aren't necessarily antagonists. After you beat them, they're your friends and sometimes even call you up to chat about their latest discoveries. Antagonists are those who mistreat Pokemon or battle them to win at any cost. The gameplay and world is pretty engaging.
