Dear Diary,
Upon realizing my feelings for Namine... a lot of other realizations have come to my attention. Things like those that care for her.... those that would fight to defend her... People that she care about. It’s... odd. Not necessarily a bad thing but... I find myself wanting to keep those that she cares about safe as well. They can care for themselves... just like she can. So why do I feel the need to keep them safe...?? I need time to think about this.

Dear Diary,
.... I feel like you’re the only one that might understand. Well... others probably would but you’re the only one that I feel comfortable with hearing it.
That funny feeling around Namine hasn’t gone away. In fact, it keeps getting... stronger..? It’s hard to explain. Blue’s been getting frustrated with me lately and it’s been putting the rest of the Unversed on edge. Even Abby’s been getting antsy about it... though I think it might be because she’s learned enough about their language that they probably told her. She’s smart that one.
... Maybe smarter than me... because I get the feeling she figured out what was going on with me and with them before I did. I’ve... finally figured it out. With some help from others... sort of... I guess... I don’t know. I think I l-.... no. I shouldn’t be telling you first. She should hear it first. I just... don’t know if I have the courage.
What if she doesn’t want anything to do with me afterwards...? Or even takes advantage...?? No... Namine isn’t the kind of girl to do that. I trust her. Heh... I guess that’s something I haven’t felt for many people in a long while. I’m... going to tell her diary. Soon hopefully. I just hope it doesn’t ruin everything.

Dear Diary,
I can’t believe that I haven’t had a chance to write till now. I’ve been meaning to since Abby’s birthday. Oh, right, you may not have known this but it was at the beginning of December. She’s already a year old. Well, I suppose a little bit more than a year now. Time flies... she’s grown so big now.
Blue’s enjoyed watching her grow as well, and the two of them are still the best of friends. Being the first Christmas for the both of them well... it was kind of hectic here. They were running around trying to figure out everything after all. Very entertaining to watch.
Abby became really fond of the bows and ribbons that she saw everywhere. She insisted that she had to be pretty too. At least, that’s the best I could translate her ‘Kweh’s ‘ for. She was... so happy that I just had to share it with you Diary... so I’ve included a picture below. All and all... her birthday and Christmas were insane... and I haven’t seen many other Chocobos around... but I think she’s full grown now. She looks big enough to ride. Hmm... perhaps that’s been part of her issue..? She’s certainly been looking at me funny.

Dear Diary,
I don’t get it. Lately I’ve been getting this really weird feeling around Naminé. Like.... I need to tell her something but I don’t know what. My heart acts... funny.. around her, and when she’s not around there’s this strange emptiness.
It’s not like the emptiness that I’ve usually felt before. it feels different. This ache isn’t necessarily... bad though. Don’t you normally want to stop whatever is making you hurt..? So why do I almost crave this ache...?? I don’t understand. I need to talk to someone about it... maybe...
There’s only maybe a couple that I feel comfortable talking about.... weakness... that’s all that I can describe this as right now. Until I have a better name for it. The Unversed have seemed on edge too. I need to get this sorted out before they go into a frenzy of some kind. I suppose that means that I should have the talk sooner rather than later...

Dear Diary,
It’s been rather.... well I’m not sure how to describe it. The newest Unversed.... I can’t keep calling it that. It’s too long, and doesn’t work for it... Hmm... I suppose I’ll just call it Blue, unless I think of something better.
Anyway, Blue has taken quite a liking to Abby the little chocobo. The other Unversed were really wary of her at first, but she and Blue got along like two long lost sisters or something. They’ve been doing practically everything together. Of course, since Blue was fond of her the others quickly came around. She’s practically part of the herd. They all even sleep together. Perhaps I’ll have to try and get a picture sometime... It pretty much just looks like a chocobo in a sea of darkness though considering the colors.
On another note.... Blue’s been seeming to get more and more frustrated with me. Especially when Namine’s been around. Perhaps a bit.... disappointed..? I wonder what her deal is. Whatever it is it seems to have something to do with Namine... what could it be...?

Dear Diary,
Is it strange to learn from creatures that have learned by observing..? The Unversed don’t often understand what it is that they are observing.. but they can often show me what they’ve seen. Well... perhaps show isn’t quite the right way to say it. It’s more... I can sense the emotion that they observed through the bond we have from their creation.
... Gah this sounds crazy to me just writing it down. Good thing no-one ever reads these things. It’s impossible to explain.. but it’s there. Through that.. I learn what they learn.. but it’s never complete. I only understand as much as they do.. sometimes even less.
I understand it... but it’s impossible to put into words. Is this just one of those things..?? I’ve heard that others experience similar phenomenon... like instinctively knowing how to walk. Perhaps that’s truly all this is. There’s no point trying to explain it... even the Unversed are growing twitchy from my frustration. I’ll have to soothe them or they won’t be responsive for days...
Diary Entry 15
Dear Diary,
Just today, the little light blue Unversed did something that I never would have expected. There was quite a big fight going on between two of the other Unversed.. some of the stronger ones too. Normally in this case the Unversed just let them get it out of their systems and everything is fine. Not this time.
The little one seemed to decide it had had enough standing on the sidelines and actually leaped right between the two fighting Unversed. it got all of them to stop in surprise as they stared at it.. before the next thing anyone knew... it was scolding all of them. That’s the only way I can explain the chittering sound that they were making. Whether for fighting, or for just letting the others fight.. or some combination even with my knowledge of their language that’s all I could catch. It was just chittering away that fast.
The strange part was the other Unversed actually bowed their head submissively. They listened and actually almost seemed ashamed of their actions. Once the little one was finished it’s chittering it made a point of cheering all of them up, showing it wasn’t mad at them anymore. I’ve never seen the Unversed perk up that fast, or even act like this. I’m almost wondering if this little one is going to end up the new Beta of the pack. Beta because they seem to consider me Alpha from what I can gather. I’ve never seen anything like that among the Unversed... it may not fight, but that little one has a strength all it’s own.

Dear Diary,
I have to admit this newest Unversed is quite different from the others. I don’t know how to explain it better than that currently, but it’s just got a different aura to it entirely. A different vibe. The others have noticed too, but thankfully it hasn’t been received negatively by the others.
They were a bit wary at first... but now it’s just another member of the pack of sorts. Actually if anything they’re more protective of it then the others. Any time there’s a fight going on between Unversed, others are sure to surround the newest one to be sure it doesn’t get caught in the crossfire. It’s been interesting to note. Perhaps... it’s because unlike them this little one was created from a more positive emotion..? It’s the only thing I can think of.
It’s never gotten into any fights of it’s own either... though it seems to make a point of comforting and tending to those that do. I can’t say I understand the logic... but the other Unversed adore it so it’s nothing bad at least. From what I’ve seen... it can’t stand sleeping alone either. If it’s not cuddled up next to me at night it insists on being surrounded by some of the others. I’ll have to keep watch and see if anything else comes up about it.
