Finishing up a run, Alan wrapped his sweat-damp shirt around his neck. Usually, he'd have waited for Maxence to do his run, but he wanted to get it out of the way. He was going to see about finding a party for later, and he didn't want to have to choose between party and run.

As he pushed through the door, Alan nearly collided with another person, a girl. He looked her up and down, nodding slightly. She was cute. "Excuse me," he said softly, reaching out to make sure she didn't fall. "Ah, pardon." He wasn't sure if the girl was French or not, so he figured he'd go with both.

Alan sat at one of the tables in the library, with his anatomy homework strewn about the table as he worked. He didn't notice there was anyone there until he heard them clear their throat. Alan looked to see a face that was familiar to him. He racked his brain a moment, trying to place her name. "Ah, the fair lady Dice," he said, grinning as he remembered. "To what does a humble man such as myself owe the privilege of your presence?"
