So there's a gemcutter dicemaker on YouTube, Hedron Rockworks, who as a signature design element, cuts star-shaped facets at the corners of his d20s. And because he's cutting actual gemstones, his dice sell for quite a lot when he does sell them.

However he has partnered with Level-Up Dice to offer the same star facet design in much cheaper resin.

So now that I've finished my Pepperidge Farm "candy cane" that was one of my stocking stuffers, I decided to saw off the cane end and repurpose the tube for holding a portion of my dice collection.

Recently ordered some Dice Sets from DDdices on Etsy

The sets are Blood Red Cyber Dice and Sorcerer Pyromancy (although I think there was a mixup during manufacture as the second set has the dark faces of that shop's Dark Purple Set).

Also I opted for the "Sailor Moon Cat" variant for the d20 on the Blood Red Cyber Dice set.

Since I'm not doing DragonCon in person this year, felt it was a good time for other geeky pursuits like re-organizing the dice display case to include my new resin dice acquisitions.

Had to take out two of the Gamescience sets and the mini dice, but the new resin sets deserve to be on display. The newest sets are the bottom three of the left row and second from the left on the bottom.

Around the end of last year, I had backed a Kickstarter for hand-made sharp edged resin polyhedral dice with inclusions, called Dispel Dice. As with most Kickstarters there's been some drama and some delays, but the project creator just posted an update a few days ago with some gorgeous video of all the colors, and I have a feeling it'll be worth waiting for the two sets I chose.
