The proletarian dictatorship is a worldwide insurgency against the capitalist class state, and not only individual states, which continues to exist until the revolutionary process has been concluded. It's goal is, therefore, not to maintain the rule of workers over capitalists, nor of any class over another, but to abolish classes and class rule. One could call this force of organized repression a state, but beyond being a body of armed men, it doesn't have very much in common with states as we know them.
