You remember the teaser of “an episode” from s4 when the bodies were burned during the night? I want to talk about that, because that never happened on the screen.
That too! At least that one can be semi-dismissed as something that likely took place off screen or during the timeskip. The tally marks promo is just too disturbing not to be addressed.
I think the burning of the walker bodies was likely something that was done routinely every day, since we see fence cleaners daily working to fell the perimeter walkers, but there are no piles of bodies from walkers that had been killed the day before and whatnot.
There was likely more to that particular promo, though, since everybody looked fairly solemn about the situation, and the burning walkers daily routine was probably not an occasion that garnered much emotional reaction after a while.
