“Heeeey Meni!” Giselle yells, trying to get the attention of Meninas and dashing towards her before she has the chance to escape, cradling an abundance of skincare and make up products she managed to swipe from Candice when she wasn’t looking. “You’re not busy are you?” She asks, not waiting for an answer and plopping down next to her anyway, dropping her exhaustive pile of products over her area. “I borrowed all this stuff from Candice but I don’t know how to apply any of it. It’s all gross and expensive and new.” Giselle whines flipping her hair over her shoulder. “I don’t wanna waste any of it and end up looking like a clown.”
“You wear tons of make up everyday right, you usually go for that older milf cougar look. Help a girl out would you?” She asks blinking up at Meninas.

Early morning in the Silbern, there was barely anyone stirring. Äs savoured these moments of relative calm, contrasted against the latter days training that would follow, the boisterous shouting and chauvinistic displays by the other Sternritters, the prattle and movement of an army swarming beneath their feet, all that silenced, the screams of terror for any who were sacrificed in favour of strengthening his Schrift. There was only the noise of a kettle boiling nearby, the calming clatter of beads between his fingers and his muttering of prayers.
Then, a noise pulls him out of his thoughts. The doors swinging open, and in strolls The Power, drenched in sweat and training garbs. Of all the female Sternritters, Meninas was perhaps the least aggravating to Äs (also one of the prettiest to look at but he was careful never to let his gaze linger too long).
There’s a brief moment of surprise between the two of them, a long beat until his senses come back to him. In a hurried movement, the beads are stuffed back away in his pocket, and he rushes to slip his black mask back on, covering his scars and permanent lipless grin. It’s still awkward, he knows she saw him, the state of his face, the scars, maybe the rosary if she was that observant. In a desperate attempt to relieve some of the discomfort that now laid heavy and stagnant in the air, to distract from the stifling awkwardness, Äs reaches out to grab another cup.
“Uhm... Coffee or tea?”
There were few things in Silbern more exciting than new blood. Fresh meat had the men and women alike abuzz with anticipation for hopeful futures. Comrades in arms, lovers in starless nights, forces to strengthen the Wandenreich’s growing power-- there was something for everyone to look forward to. All of this was amplified for His Majesty’s Sternritter whenever a Quincy was to be knighted and join their ranks.
Today’s hot take: one to fill the position of ‘P’.
His own money was on something like the ‘Plague’, or the ‘Poison’. Something to infiltrate enemy lines and kill them silently. They already had the Heat for front line carnage and destruction, there was no need to add another heavyweight into the mix. His only hope was that it was someone quiet, to keep out of his way. With every additional Knight came a new identity to learn, a new set of powers and weaknesses to identify. A new person to hate.
The quiet types were easiest to look down on, to brush aside. The louder ones were, in their own way, more earnest. More honest. That made it harder to plot against them, to plan their eventual deaths.
Either way, once the ceremony was over he’d make his introductions. Proclaim loudly his own grandeur, throw out the requisite threats to keep out of his way or follow his lead. The same song and dance, carefully rehearsed to a silent beat.
He knew where to wait, too. To swoop down from above and cut ahead of the masses. A grand enough entrance, all eyes would be on him and this new blood. That was always for the best-- it was a quick decision to hide in plain sight, everyone was busy scrutinizing shadows.
When she was announced to growing crowds-- “Meninas McAllon, His Majesty’s latest--” blah blah blah, Bazz-B moved to pounce. What met him was a wall of sorts-- of shock, confusion, anger, pure dumbfounded stillnes. It was a cascading reality rushing headfirst into a vortex. Perched on his pillar, jaw dropped and eyes wide, he looked the part of an offended gargoyle.
How was she here? @diepower

Bet you thought I was dead? WRONG. Only stinky morons like Meni get themselves killed.
This is what female empowerment should look like. @diepower @bazzardburner
Meni, Candi and Gigi share a single brain cell and it’s usually in the laundry because it’s covered in blood, boob sweat and BBQ sauce.
