TL;DR Version: The Memphis BBQ Thickburger from @Hardees is an enjoyable, well-balanced burger, while their Jolly Rancher Shake is essentially just a high-calorie vanilla shake. Full Review: I went back through every post I’ve ever done to make sure I’d never eaten the Memphis BBQ Thickburger from Hardee’s. Always gotta check because Hardee’s loves adding a second (or third) kind of meat to their burgers and it gets hard to keep track after awhile. This one is their usual bun with a 1/3 pound burger patty sitting on a bed of pulled pork with cheese, BBQ sauce, and fried onion strings on top. The BBQ sauce is a little sweet and pairs nicely with both the pork and beef. In the same vein, the textures of the beef patty and pulled pork aren’t so different that it takes away from the taste of the sandwich. It helps that the texture is also evened out by the crunch of the fried onion petals, which simultaneously adds an extra flavor to the mix. I really enjoyed this burger, although at 960 calories your diet will pay for it. Speaking of diet killers, the Jolly Rancher Shake comes in at a whopping 810 calories despite only being 16 ounces. The shake is their standard vanilla milkshake, except it has Jolly Rancher shavings mixed throughout. As you might expect, the overwhelming taste here is vanilla shake with only occasional notes of Jolly Rancher when you are chewing the shavings. It wasn’t bad, but I wouldn’t order it again. There are far more satisfying ways to eat 810 calories worth of carbs. #FastFoodReviews #RealFastFoodie #PulledPorkBurger #Hardees #HybridBurgers #JollyRancherShake #FriedOnions #MemphisBBQThickBurger #DietKillers
