Let’s just be real right now: isn’t DAAANG Judi Dench the best improv team name you’ve ever heard? Apart from their killer team-naming skills, this group of Chicago improvisers is a comic force to be reckoned with.
DAAANG Judi Dench is a Chicago based, long form,improv team that “puts friendship first and kicking ass second.”
Their signature form was inspired by the confidence and poise of Dame Judi Dench and our communal desire to expand and reclaim the way women are portrayed in theatre.The ladies on their team have all been friends for 5+ years, and know each other inside and out. Which makes their improv wild, silly and fearless. They love each other. They love improv. They love Dame Judi Dench.
DAAANG Judi Dench has performed at the Chicago Improv Festival, Coachella Improv Festival, Out of Bounds Improv Festival and the Detroit Improv Festival. At the Detroit Improv Festival they have opened for headliners Tim Meadows, Mamma's Boy and Paul F. Tompkins.

DAAANG also teachers a workshop, Commitment to Character, teaching our philosophy of high commitment to wild characters, which will be taught in the 2:30-5pm workshop session at #DIF16. Please note that this workshop is for female-identifying persons only.
