A dear friend of mine was writing me on Skype a few days back which in itself wasn't anything strange, nor was it really that strange to hear someone say they had a friend who was single who I might be interested in. Afterall it's something I might have casually joked about in the past between friends, but not as anything serious. Though I have occasionally said that once I feel ready to actively search I might ask my friends for help.

The strange part was that this was real. It wasn't a joke, he was seriously suggesting a friend of his to be a potential husband.

I asked my friend about the potential a bit . Usually I reject people within half hour since most wont put in the effort of dealing with a mentally unstable person, or even put the effort in to see if we are compatible. But my friend had afterall put some thought into it, the least I could do was to consider.

The potential and I kinda sorta maybe spoke a bit but through our common friend. Just trying to get some basics I guess.

It felt like going on a blind date but with a bit of info from the other person, except that info was being delivered through the words of a third person.

I'm not sure I quite feel comfortable with this way of meeting a potential even if I can see some kind of logic, certainly compared to random people on a "dating" site.

Just really strange and new and confusing and weird.

Especially when you're suddenly in it, unexpected.
