Um okay so I just posted a link to a video that shows how Photoshop can be used to drastically change a picture, thereby distorting the truth behind the image. The purpose of the video was to condemn the use of technology that can mislead our perception. However, I now came across another video that also uses technology to alter an image, but for completely different purposes. This artist uses technology to create awesome photorealistic images that confuse and trick your mind. He does this because “It’s more about capturing an idea, than capturing a moment really”. This video offers a counter-argument to using technology to modify images since the results are clearly awe-inspiring, and his motivation is to push the limits of art, media and imagination.
