If the Batfam went to the beach I'm pretty sure both Tim and Duke would try and stay out of the sun as much as possible because they wouldn't want to be 'burnt to a crisp'.
Tim, because his body hasn't experienced sunlight in so long and he's granted to actually burn to a crisp. And Duke because he doesn't want to get any darker than he already is.
