‘Taichi put me DOWN!!’ 'Why do all our dates end like this?’ 'Aw c'mon Sora you love it’
Compared to his bf and gf Yamato is the smol one
I keep imagining a scenario where Sora (and maybe a few others) gets separated from the group on a mission in the digital world and it was a dicey separation like she was in a tunnel while it caved in or swept downstream in a river so it's worrisome and she might be hurt while the main group is looking for her/them Yamato and Taichi keep getting more and more agitated bc they're worried about their gf and when they all reunite Taichi gets to Sora first and kisses her before he remembers himself and that's how the others find out that Sora, Yamato AND Taichi are all dating Alternatively they spend a few nights in the digital world and come across somewhere with bedrooms and someone catches Taichi sneaking out of Sora and Yamatos room in the morning or just catches the three of them all cuddled up together (Upon finding out, Hikari screams 'I knew it!' and demands Takeru pay up)
One last wip of Sora and her bfs who can't handle the glory of her gunshow
Mom: what are you drawing? Me: oh nothing important!! *sweats nervously*
Someone more talented than me needs to write a series ft everyone trying to understand the Taichi/Sora/Yamato relationship and figure out who exactly is dating who and how it works and even how you find yourself in this sort of scenario, including the trio themselves (The answer, of course, is a poly triad) But even amongst one another they're unsure of what to call themselves because they know they feel best when it's the three of them but they don't think it's exactly normal. Like Taichi feels like the other two are going to realize he's third wheel extraordinaire and drop him (bc Yamato and Sora were an official couple before The Kisses that brought Taichi into it) and Sora and Yamato would rather die than talk to anyone about their feelings. He has no idea what he's doing with his future, but he's sure he'd still like to be a part of this. Not to mention Sora lives in constant terror of anyone finding out she's dating two boys (what kind of girl does that make her?) and god forbid her mother learn!! Besides, the boys share a much stronger bond with one another than with her, so when are they going to leave her? Plus Sora can be tough with her love. She has a hard time separating maternal affection and treating the boys like children, and who in their right mind would want to date someone that scolds them? Yamato's not sure what it says about him that he's okay with his girlfriend dating another guy, not to mention that he's okay dating another guy. Does it have anything to do with him coming from a broken home? His dad says it's a phase when he finds out, and Yamato worries that he's still working out how to be a good friend, how can he be expected to be a good partner? And I wanna see the three of them working out communication issues, I wanna see the other Chosen Children one by one realizing that the Trio are all actually dating. I want their parents' perspectives either when they find out or later on when the Trio have been together for a while. I want outsider pov like after high school one of Sora's uni classmates comes to their apartment to grab some notes but meets one of the boys who says he's Sora's bf, only to be introduced to Sora's 'boyfriend' at a party but it's a totally different dude etc etc Basically just give me a hundred different scenarios about Taichi/Sora/Yamato dating and how their unusual relationship influences their lives
