Thomas
1. What does their bedroom look like?
Thomas tries to keep things clean. Keyword being “try”. He spends most of his time out of it, so it just ends up being a catch all for anything that happens to make it past the door. It often doesn’t help that Lenny is just as messy, if not worse. Things pile up.
21. Turn-ons? Turn-offs?
Thomas is a simple dude. Bright eyes, a soft smile but mostly it’s in the personality. He likes certain types of boldness and confidence makes him swoon. He’s a terrible flirt when he’s older and if you roll with it and join in on the game he’s putty in your hands. He also really has a thing for glasses //winkwink
Turn-offs are definitely people who try entering his space when he doesn’t want them to. And not even in a romantic way half the time. Poor dude has some social hiccups despite his self esteem hitting high points on the regular. It’s old fears from his youth. This usually isn’t the case if he’s close with you, which he can count on one hand the number of people even remotely close enough to him outside of his family circle who he doesn’t mind being openly affectionate with or allowing general friendly contact with on the daily.
31. Most prized possession? As a child it was a pair of ski goggles he was going to give his younger brother as a gift. After everything went downhill, he kept them and wore them himself. They became a security item and usually never left his head if he had the choice. He later lost them but by then had grown to accept things and was healing. As an adult it is a bundle of love letters that were written for him by his husband. They weren’t married or even dating at the time they were penned and he didn’t receive them until years later after he found them while cleaning underneath their bed. He even exchanged them for his own bundle that he’d written himself. It kickstarted a trip down memory lane and they both had to feel embarrassed over the awkward mess that was their courtship all over again. Mutual pining is weird.
Jonah
1. What does their bedroom look like?As a teenager...Surprisingly well organized. He doesn’t keep much in there besides storage for clothing, shelves for trinkets. And then his bookcases. God so many bookcases. Floor to ceiling with full shelves covering three of his walls. He even has stacks of books on his floor because he ran out of room.
I imagine Lily often had him donate or sell any of the books he no longer read just so his floor wouldn’t be covered by them.
2. What is their biggest regret?Probably that it took him so long to be honest about his feelings with himself. That he didn’t say something sooner. Before Sophie even factored into the equation at all. Crushes are hard, man. And speaking up about them doubly so when you fear negative retaliation for those feelings.
It all worked out in the end though. Three times the love in a triangle shaped affection buffet.
36. What makes them feel guilty?
Hiding away behind his fake feelings. Seeing anything but a smile on him is jarring, even if the smile itself doesn’t feel genuine and can come off as a bit creepy most of the time. But people don’t like messy tears and anger.
