Theme/s Used: Fusion (Jogress - DigiXros - Appfusion - Applink) | Metal Empire | Mode Change | Royal Knight
last day of digifake week, and i made it.
it’s been a super cool week seeing everyone’s awesome and awesomely varied digimon!
not gonna lie, that’s part of why the digimon fandom holds such a special place to me-- just about anything goes for a fan-digimon, and even when two artists go in totally different directions, you can still look at canon and see a far weirder combination, so you can still accept totally wildly different things as “both digimon”. i think that’s super neat.
but more to the point: considering appmon just finished, it’s only right that I go with my fan-appmon for the fusion prompt!
so uh... how bout that appmon finale, huh? i’m an adult man with real concerns and a life and I absolutely didn’t cry at a children’s anime meant to hock plastic toys. again. for the sixth time.
...
anyway.
Lingomon and Volumon appgattai into Groovemon, and Groovemon and Encryptmon appgattai into Jackermon!
theoretically, Jackermon could Appgattai with [name tentative] Breachmon, an appmon used to share leaked confidential information, to become Hephaemon, a god-grade who controls perception and information, but I didn't want to take a stab at designing a god-grade.
i’m re-using the old art of lingomon, volumon, and groovemon-- but the new designs have new art, at least! I wanted to do new art for everyone, but I've been really busy between this, class, and writing re:CON, and just... didn't have the time for it.
since there's five different appmon, i'll throw the info under a cut this time ;v;'
name lingomon [lingo]
grade standard
type social
app language learning
attacks
language barrier taps its headphones, creating a shield-like orb around itself. it can then hurl itself at opponents, the barrier providing an extra oomph to a tackle, or used defensively, it can deflect attacks.
lingua franca forces its opponent to pick from multiple choice ‘popup windows’ to translate a phrase from one language to another– usually two that the opponent doesn’t know at all, like Basque and Mandarin Chinese. if they choose wrong, the 'popup window’ explodes, causing damage. (if they get it right, confetti appears out of nowhere, a party horn sounds, and the attack does nothing.)
about
an appmon who speaks all languages, and wants to foster communication and understanding– but occasionally it babbles so quickly that nobody can understand it. the screen on its belly provides subtitles in its buddy’s native language, but even they can’t keep up sometimes.
---
name volumon [volume]
grade standard
type system
app master volume control
attacks
volume up hits the red button on its left earphone to blast enemies with a super-loud noise.
volume down hits the blue button on its right earphone to silence its enemy, preventing it from calling its attacks
about
a lazy appmon who likes nothing more than listening to music. sometimes it fails to notice that it’s cranked its volume up super high and blasts those around it with a burst of noise with the speakers on its earphones.
---
name groovemon [groove]
grade super
type entertainment
app song finder
attacks
sound surfer dives into a pocket dimension and 'swims’ at a foe at super-high speeds, with only its dorsal fin visible. it then pops back up and strikes its enemy with its claws.
decibel break pumps up the volume and puts its hands on its headphones, which creates a crushing wave of sound.
about
feel the volume! obey the groove! a laid-back appmon with the ability to find any song with just a few seconds of hearing it. furthermore, it can just as easily search for the owner of any voice it hears. the speakers in its hands resonate at a special frequency with its headphones, so they create ultra-destructive sound waves when they reverberate together.
---
name encryptmon [encryption]
grade super
type tool
app encrypted browser
attacks
proxy mirror uses strange routing techniques to redirect an enemy's attack back at their allies.
memory purge forces the appmon around it to temporarily forget about encryptmon's existence right as it fades out of sight, then reappears with a sneak attack.
about
an encrypted browser appmon who is the master of going unseen. it can freely dive into the deep web from the surface web and slip between the cracks unnoticed. it leaves no trace wherever it goes, making its movements very hard to track.
---
name jackermon [signal jacker]
grade ultimate
type tool
app signal intrusion
attacks
communication breakdown freezes enemies in their tracks with an immobilizing wave of static from its megaphone.
signal reverb creates countless copies of itself all around the battlefield, attacking with the sheer brute force of numbers.
broadcast hijack temporarily takes control of an enemy appmon. how long it holds depends on the willpower and power level of the target appmon.
about
a playful appmon who doesn't seem to realize that its behavior is frequently illegal, but it has a righteous heart. it intrudes freely on broadcasts to share its message of freedom-- by force if it has to.
A digimon in the shape of an old woman. Hailing from Witchelny, Hagmon is an ancient master of the advanced programming language called Sorcery. It is the eldest member of the Grand Sorcerers, a group of the most powerful mages amongst Digimon-kind. Its domain is wind and ice, and it is said to command winter itself. It collects charms made from the bones of its prey which it fells with the terrible blizzards it summons. Its magical item “Orb” can let Hagmon see the past, present, and future, and is able to trap the Digicores of lost Digimon.
Attacks
Death’s Grip: Hagmon summons a vicious vortex of ice and snow from “Orb” to trap the foe and their Digicore.
Eye Of Cailleach: Hagmon uses “Orb” to see the past, present, and future.
Infinite Winter: Hagmon commands the elements, conjuring a powerful endless blizzard.
Hagmon’s name comes from ‘hag’, a term for old women. Her design is basically the same, but was heavily inspired by a Celtic goddess called Cailleach. I was also inspired by @awkwardklutz‘s digifakes.
...I actually have a lot of Witchelny digifakes, and this is the first completed member of a group called “The Grand Sorcerers”, they’re basically a clique of powerful magician digimon. I originally planned for each one to have an elemental specialty, and Hagmon’s is wind.
Featuring the next form after my dear NiloCrocmon: Sahdylemon! This whole evolution line is Ancient Egypt themed so we have LargeMummy!Croc with some flair. He was designed back in 2011 so he’s a good ol’ boy!
More info on this guy on my deviantart
*Sahdylemon
Line: NiloCrocmon
Attribute: Data
Type: Reptile Digimon
Move(s):
-Desert Burial: Summons and commands the force of sand in which it uses to overwhelm its enemy and cause it to be buried alive in the heaps of sand.
-Nile Waters: Forms a strong blast of water from its mouth as well as able to manipulate water around it to cause massive flooding. (This move is both offensive and defensive)
Rookie: Bursmon (rookie)
My lovable little shithead of an OC. Honestly, I just have fun drawing her. Bursmon is the rookie form of Amplemon. Bursmon rip their way out of the host Digimon that Amplemon infected and will eventually grow into Xenomon. The one I use as an OC like memes and thinks swearing is cool.
Dragon's Roar: Feimon (rookie)
One of my old OCs. Some may recognize him, others might not. He was one of my main Digimon OCs a couple years back but I haven't drawn him in awhile so I decided why not. They are pretty chill Digimon normally, but they go from 0 to 100 really quick when it comes to getting pie or defending their partner. Fun fact, I got hatemail over him because he didn't look like a rookie level Digimon which made him a bad Digimon.
Puppet: Velvymon (rookie)
A rabbit plush Digimon that holds a dark Digimon within. The patches are the spots that the Digimon within has tried to burst out from. Velvymon tend to vary in patterns and sewed on patches and its rare to find two that look identical.
Witchelny: unnamed (champion)
This was a hard category to design for as there are only a few pre-existing Digimon in this category. I went with an undersea witch Digimon that enchants various humans and Digimon with its voice and drowns them to absorb their energy.
so! a long time ago i drew this little sushi fairy armadillo digimon for kicks but never uploaded it, and now felt like the time to put it in the spotlight ! i feel like i've seen smth similar recently with a sushi digimon? so hopefully my timestamp assuages any fears there. ;v;'
So here, have Nigirimon (rookie) and Sashimon (champion)!
name nigirimon [nigiri-sushi]
level rookie
type food
field deep savers
attacks
wasabi breath fires a spicy glob of wasabi from its mouth. aims right for the eyes, too.
sushi roll curls up into a ball and rolls at an enemy at high speed.
about
a mild, gentle digimon with a love of fresh seafood. because of its soft body, it doesn’t like to fight. it packs a spicy kick when it has to, but it would rather curl up and wait for danger to pass.
name sashimon [sashimi]
level champion
type food
field deep savers
attacks
stick chop draws the two chopsticks out of its shoulderblades and delivers fast, back-to-back hits with them.
ebi tail slaps an enemy with its shellfish-like tail.
deba deba rush slashes out at a foe with its sushi-knife-sharp claws.
about
some seadwelling digimon try to prey on sashimon, as the 'shell' on its back is reportedly quite the delicacy. unfortunately, getting a taste requires dealing with its metallic claws, lightning-quick skill with the bizarre chopsticks it wields as weapons, and its newfound nasty temper.
A Fairy Digimon evolved from Lilimon. It is a plant that has taken on beast-like features, boasting immense physical strength and a stubborn attitude. It takes pride in its fitness, and trains everyday with hours of aerobics and weightlifting. TigerLilymon eagerly encourages other Digimon to come to it to seek training, despite its regimen being such an ordeal that the potential pupils may not survive. In battle it moves like a dancer to evade, and attacks with kicks, punches, and grapples. It’s secret ability, however, is to charm its foe into a tiring exercise session with it.
Attacks: Total Body Workout!: TigerLilimon charms the foe into performing a rigorous exercise routine with it, leaving them exhausted.
Aerobic Axe Kick: TigerLilimon performs an upwards kick.
Toraneko Punch: TigerLilimon punches the foe multiple times.
Tiger Suplex: TigerLilimon grapples the opponent and slams them to the ground.
TigerLilimon’s name comes from the tigerlily flower, and its design is inspired by Lilimon, catgirls, weightlifters, and 80s aerobics.
Sometimes you just come up with an idea you love so much you have to drop everything and draw it immediately. Yup.
Family: Deep Savers/Nature Spirits/Nightmare Soldiers
An amphibian Digimon related to Otamamon. The presence of the advanced programming language, Sorcery, influences the evolution of aquatic baby Digimon into Bufomon, where its hind-legs become well-developed. This exposure gives it a knack for Sorcery as well, particularly in its charming singing voice, which is capable of controlling the emotions of others. Bufomon is typically mild-mannered and avoids direct conflict, but it is capable of high leaps and strong kicks to defend itself if it needs to.
Attacks: Frog Slap: Bufomon jumps and kicks the foe with its well-developed hind legs.
Prince Melody: Bufomon sings, controlling its foe’s emotions.
Bard Bubble: Bufomon sings, casting a spell that conjures acidic bubbles.
Bufomon’s name comes from the scientific name for toads. He really ended up looking more frog-like than toad-like. Other influences were bards, the Frog Prince story, and the idea of chemicals in the water mutating frogs.
This is for day 5, it’s late, but check out this frog. It’s another of my Witchelny digifakes. I have an evo line planned for it, but I really only have the last form doodled out in any way.
