The amount of characterization they were able to give Maki in such a short amount of time is remarkable. We all had a crush on her as the cafe info broker, but who would’ve thought she was hiding so much pain behind those eyes? The storytelling in this show is insane.
The Beatbreaker and his Green Menace
As a kid, I would often watch Digimon adventure, whenever it was on one of the few channels I we had back then. I loved the adventures of the Digi-destined and their partners, and later I watched other series on the web. Recently Beatbreak season 1 ended with a band, and it's one of the best things to happen to digimon recently. Seriously, it's good. some people even say it might be coming for Tamer's crown! That's why I made this little tribute to the series. Tomoro Tenma and Gekkomon respectively. The Angry one and the Hungry one lol Go watch it! It's soooo good!

This is where I really lost it and started tearing up.. the fact Panjyamon knew he wouldn’t physically live to see Maki achieve her dream of a cafe where Digimon and humans can laugh together, but he lives on in her. He’d be so proud of her 🥹
Knew Raito’s “I don’t care” tsundere gimmick was a lie lol, he just wanted to aura farm and show up and save the day. I got kinda emotional seeing how well he and Rhamphomon work together now after how they started. So proud of Raito’s growth, nice parallel to Tomoro!
Cried to a beatbreak episode again award. Death, taxes, Leomon dying. They really gave us an episode of Panjyamon and Maki bonding over their shared loss and trauma and becoming legitimate partners just to split them up. Heartbreaking and then the fact his dying wish was about her achieving her dream.. 🥹
So Jokermon and his partner are totally a joker and Harley quinn reference and the fact that Jokermon is the leader while his human partner was subservient and mentally unstable.

I thought the Glowing Dawn would get one episode to chill and relax after the GIFT arc, but I had a feeling the amount of focus they put on the “May our family be together forever” stuff was a bad omen and unfortunately I was right. We’ve never seen Kyo this afraid before so I’m really curious about his connection to Souji, wouldn’t surprise me if he’s the one who killed Kyo’s previous “family” whose graves he visited there. This arc looks like it’s going to be insane and we finally have a completely deranged irredeemable villain who has no problem killing people. I feel a lot of Kyo’s principles will be tested. Sign me tf up
