Art Summary for 2025:
This year had an actual piece done every month so I’m happy with that! A lot for bumps to end 2025 but we roll onwards. I know 2026 won’t be kinder but we’ll press forward no matter what.

About Gif-Art... and an auction.
As some of you may have noticed, for some time now, I stopped uploading my new works here on Tumblr. It is basically due to the constant theft and misappropriation of my pieces without giving credit at all. On the other hand, it also has to do with how today (and more and more) the web and social networks are nourished by this format using it, most times, with no respect at all. I am aware that the "ecosystem" of this art style (gif format) is the web itself, and that it always will be susceptible to being stolen, manipulated and / or reused by third parties ... up to a certain point...
As with other formats and digital art expressions happens, gif-art should begin to be respected and treated as if it were another digital artwork, as is already the case with photographs, films, music... everything. Nowadays, most of the contents are digital, even analog works, when photographed or filmed, become digital works.
If illustrations, photographs, videos, designs are credited and paid for ... why isn’t gif-art credited and payed the same, when it really merges all of the above?
On the other hand, what from the beginning of the internet was a secondary format, used mainly for advertising and funny short content, for some years now it has acquired another dimension and great relevance in the world of art and entertainment. Maybe now is not the time to stop to talk about the recent purchase of Giphy by Facebook by $400 million, (not because of its gifs, but because of its data collection). Dig into that. More info here (2017). More here (2020).
Despite not publishing new pieces here, I have not stopped creating in this time and as everything, for an action there is a reaction, and this kind of art is taking its place and new ways of spreading it are having born...
...and an auction:
A few months ago, Makersplace offered me to join their platform where I am selling my work with a certificate of authenticity, signed and registered through blockchain. (here more info)
Thanks to this, my work is being featured on Makersplace and this Thursday, August 13, at 1PM Pacific Time, several unpublished, original, certified and numbered pieces will go up for auction.
Here the link.
Huge thanks to the Makersplace team and for the people here still sharing my work. If it moves, it loops.
“Dare I say, fashion icons?” “Absolutely not...”
I need a constant reminder to check Tumblr too- It’s just a bit much now than it was back in high school when I checked four different sites lol
I have WIP’s and pieces to share though. I’m totally still here, just a lot going on aside from not checking

Jim and the shadow of the cherry blossoms. Just brushing up on digital painting, trying a couple of new things here and there, the usual.
