Kerala has becomes the 1st ‘Digital State’ in country:

Government has declared Kerala state totally digital, Kerala becoming the first digital state in the country. It was announced by the Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy.This declaration was made considering the rapid digital strides of the kerala state which has achieved 100% mobile connectivity, maximum digital banking, 75% e-literacy, broadband-connection upto the Panchayat level, linking bank accounts with Aadhar cards and e-district plan in all districts. The Kerala government also has announced that the 2nd phase of digital literacy will further take forward digital revolution in state and envisages having wi-fi hotspots in all local bodies, total mobile Governance.
