A Hands-on Training Workshop on “Cyber Crime, Digital Arrest: Opportunities and Challenges in the Growth of AI” was successfully organized by the School of Computer Applications, SDGI Global University, Ghaziabad.
The Inauguration of the workshop began with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parsanjeet Kumar Sir, Prof. (Dr.) Rajeev Ratan, Registrar and Prof. (Dr.) Abhinn Baxi, Director IQAC, Prof. (Dr.) Jaideep Kumar (Director, SET), Prof. (Dr.) R. C. Tripathi (Director, SCA) Mr. Anuj Aggarwal, (Centre for Research on Cyber Crime and Cyber Law) Mr. Devanshu Shukla, Director (Hackveda Solutions Pvt. Ltd. New Delhi) and Mr. Sarvesh Kumar Pal, SHO, Wave City and His team followed by Ganesh Vandana by the Students.
A Momento of SDGI Global University and Sapling was presented to all the dignitaries. The Occasion was graced with the presence of Admin officers, Directors, and faculties.

The workshop aimed to create awareness among students of UG and PG Programs of the school about the rapidly evolving landscape of cybercrimes, legal aspects of digital arrest, and the role of Artificial Intelligence in both combating and contributing to cyber threats.

Session on Cyber Crime Awareness
Mr. Anuj Aggarwal shared practical insights into various cybercrimes such as phishing, identity theft, online fraud, and social engineering attacks. He explained real-life cases handled by law enforcement agencies and guided students on safety measures and legal actions.
Understanding Digital Arrest
The session covered the concept of digital arrest, legal procedures, and the role of cyber cells in handling digital offenses. Students gained knowledge about laws related to cyber security and how digital evidence is used in investigations.
AI in Cybersecurity: Opportunities & Challenges
Mr. Devanshu Shukla discussed how Artificial Intelligence is transforming cybersecurity. He highlighted:
Opportunities: Automated threat detection, predictive analysis, and enhanced security systems.
Challenges: AI-driven cyber-attacks, deepfakes, data privacy issues, and ethical concerns.
Hands-on Training in Lab No.1 and 2
Participants were engaged with Mr. Devanshu Shukla in practical demonstrations and simulations, which included:
Identifying phishing emails and malicious links
Basic cybersecurity practices
Understanding vulnerabilities in digital systems
This hands-on approach helped students gain practical knowledge beyond theoretical concepts.
