Studio 2: More Play testing and More Feedback
Tested out fade effect for my installation. It allows for new shapes to be created with existing shapes.
Anna suggested I find a way to validate it’s use in some way. So far, it’s currently just a play tool. Ricardo says I need to work on the visual aspect. He also says that I need to find a way to get the back story of my project across. I’m looking into recording a number of people then using that material to show the process of ideation in a separate screen. Ricardo also mentioned that instead of forms, it can be used for logos where ease of change can be done.
I decreased the size of the person to show focus on the shapes being made. I left it there, though, so that people can make a connection between the shapes they make and the motion that their body goes through in making it.
I’ve asked some of my friends to come in and give some feedback on the visual aspect of it. If I remember correctly, one is from product design and another is from spatial design. Although it’s not quite in the field of what I’m trying to do, they’ll sitll hve more design knowledge than I am and hopefully be able to come up with constructive criticism.
For now, I’ll be working on the scaling of the visuals on a big screen to hopefully make it more effective. I’ll do a lot of playtesting along the way with the help rfom my peers, hopefully, to come up with a good layout.
