we don’t actually know what kind of music knife of day plays (or teenage wolves, for that matter) but judging by the outfits, stage and instruments i’m getting a 90s sort of green day/blink 182/smashing pumpkins vibe. like put those three together and you get a generic dude sound with simple guitar chords and easy “poetic” lyrics apparently all about the digital world. so basically oasis. his band is oasis.
as far as yamato’s personal taste, he’s into 90s grunge and emo, mostly. he collects vinyls from classic rock bands he’s never heard of but thinks are super hipster (except it’s the total most cliche thing ever). if it has an easy bass line and words he can sulk to, he’ll eat it up.
