She'd heard rumblings in the downtown area, and she'd also felt his presence close to her apartment, a random dream alerting her to the fact. All of the teeny presents he'd given her over the years, were sparkling just a little bit more, and she'd regressed to where her control over the lightning was almost like it was, when he'd drug her out of that hell. Out in the night, and her sense were fully alit, she ran down the narrow streets to his office. Yanking the building doors open, she clattered down the steps, and was soon at his door. Flinging it open, she shrieked. "I knew you were back!!! I've missed you!!!"

"It's not training wheels," Rhys protested, "It's a sophisticated homing grenade technology that allows you to shoot around corners, or from--wait, boss baby? "

He stopped himself just in time before protesting he wasn't a baby. That would only make him sound even more babyish. He took a deep breath and ended up coughing a little from Swift's cigarette smoke.

"Yeah, that's nice. Coming from someone who thinks he's in a pulp paperback."

The apparent corpse, charred and decaying, awaits on the detective's couch. Generally, he tries to avoid Earth. They ask too many questions about the state of his body, always trying to rush him to a hospital or perform an exorcism. Besides, he has a feeling that the lead he's following is a trap. 

But, what else does he have to be doing? When a presumably beautiful woman (at least, based on the perfume left behind on the paper and red lipstick kiss left beside the signature,) tells you to be at a specific address in a specific year, you follow the trail. 

When the man opens the apartment door, he's certainly no 'Missy.' But, the Master isn't going to choose this regeneration to get picky.

"Don't scream." There's hypnosis behind his words, the urge to alert the neighbors dampened despite surely startling the man. "I received a note, telling me to find you. Signed 'Missy.' Does this mean anything to you?"

“Oh no go on I’m listening,” He said even if he looked more interested in the coffee he was drinking. Now granted he didn’t have the reputation he would have but it was building. And one thing that was certain about Benoit Blanc besides the accent that sounded like it had been dragged through the mud of every southern state of the United States was very little got past him. “Any other facts to the case?”

    IT WAS A GOOD THROW, but cat didn’t take the time to relish in it, yet green depths stared hard and confident to his features.  he had pushed her, so she had gone through with what she threatened.  one couldn’t say she didn’t stick to her WORD, at least.  the goal hadn’t been to kill him, obviously, so the shoulder was the target... and it had served its purpose well.  regret?  n o n e.  at least not until he pocketed the weapon.

                she had two more, but they weren’t exactly easy to come back, so acid rose in her throat as hands found themselves clenched tight at her sides.  were she actually a feline, it was clear her fur would have been on end.  instead, eyes were narrowed, and teeth gritted as she fought back the f i r e beginning to burn her stomach up.

       “fucker.”  marching forward, she reached with intent to yank his arm out, get her item back.  “i fucking need that.”
