who's seen the the videos for Robbie Williams' Party Like A Russian & Dima Koldun's Work Your Magic/Дай Мне Силу? were you reminded of Dima's when watching Robbie's at all, too? like, okay, I'm letting the vibe I got from both sets slide; who doesn't have some appreciation for that color scheme? the flittering, jerky way the background dancers moved in both videos, however- THAT threw me. I'd never seen anything like that before I saw WYM/ДМС & I haven't seen anything remotely similar up until I saw Party Like A Russian. it's not like I don't pay attention to background dancers, either, bc holy fuck I have such perpetual dance envy, y'know? restrained, *conscious* twitchiness like that, especially, blows my gd mind. whooooaaaa if only I could move like that. d'you think someone who worked on Robbie's video saw Dima's at some point & tucked it away in their memory for future reference???? high five to all those dancers tbh what amazing physical control hot damn
