• He's an artificial baby made from Dale and Remy's DNA (this based on recent scientific studies suggesting the possibility for humans producing offspring that carry the genetic material from two fathers. Reminder: even if this isn't actually possible IRL, FOP is a series about fairies, so a kid like this can exist. CoughlikecloneDevcough)
• Dale and Remy planned him. Because of Remy's desire to be a father and his need for an heir who would continue the Buxaplenty legacy. So Dale was like "Whatever you say, stallion" (???) (this is actually a reference to a roleplay).
• All Dimmadomes have a preferred object. So While Dale has his boots and Dev has his sunglasses, Delroy has his gold belt buckle (engraved with the initials of his two surnames <3)
• He inherited Remy's skin tone, nose and wavy hair. His hair is a mixture of Dale and Remy's hair colour, which I found out it's called "strawberry blonde" 🍓
• He didn't inherit Dale's curls, so Dale and Dev might feel jealous that he's free from the "curl curse" (?)
• Dale wanted to name him Dollar. Remy didn't let him: Remy: You're NOT naming our child Dollar.
Dale: But you LOVE dollars! Don't you want to name our child after the thing you love the most? (He's so fucking right about this lmfao)
Remy chose the name instead. But Dale still calls him Dollar.
• Remy is the preferred dad (of course)
• Dale loves him so much, but since Delroy was a baby, he never liked his ginger dad that much. Kinda the relationship Gru and his son have (suffer, Dale).
• Needless to say he's Dev's little brother. I wanted Dev to become an older brother since he seemed to kinda "hate" the fact that Hazel had one and he didn't? (At least I interpreted this lol). So yeah, now Dev has someone who loves him unconditionally and can play video games with him <3
• Dev is happy about being the big bro, and Del doesn't want to worry about taxes and stuff, nor does he want to worry about becoming the heir of the richest family in Dimmadelphia</3 but like all the rich people in FOP, he's ✨doomed since birth✨
Dev: Wdym he only loves you? He loves me too??? (He's in denial)
• I headcanon Dev kinda struggling a bit after Del's birth because Dale shows more affection to his second child, something he never did with him. But Del loves Dev so much that Dev eventually stops caring about Dale's preference.
• Delroy calls Dale by his name instead of "dad". Like Bart does with Homer. For example:
Delroy: Good morning, Dale—
Dale: It's daddy, I'm your dimmadamn dad!!
Hilarious.
