Ahhh that’s so nice thank you!! And yes of course!

So Natalya and Mal are both in the same tracker unit in the First Army, which is how they first become friends. They get along really easily, quickly forming a friendship that involves a lot of banter and teasing, but they’re also make a really good team. Obviously Mal is basically the tracker, but Natalya is pretty damn good in comparison. 

I don’t have a whole lot planned because I’m kinda banking on the show giving me Mal content during the time Alina’s at the Little Palace, but I know that during that time, Natalya’s going to a rock for him. Like he’s not dealing well with Alina being discovered to be a Grisha and suddenly becoming this larger than life Sun Summoner and having to leave and Nat’s pretty much there to like talk to him and get him to open up about everything. And they also definitely have each other’s backs during that whole ordeal as well. 

They’re strictly platonic at first but there is a lot of joking jabs from their friends in the unit that Natalya has the hots for Mal and vice versa which makes for very funny awkward moments. Mal’s also fairly protective of Nat, especially in certain situations, which makes me go feral over them but that’s just me lol. Also sleeping bag sharing? Maybe fucking so.

They’re honestly more of a slowburn ship compared to the other ship in my Blood and Ash fic. Like timeline wise, feelings really don’t start sinking in until around the middle to end of the Siege and Storm plotline, which gives me a lot of time to build their friendship and eventual feelings. Malina isn’t an official ship in my story as of right now, but there is definitely still those feelings between the two, which definitely causes issues for Mal and Natalya (especially when it’s clear that Alina and my other OC Shreya are pretty much a thing and it’s like Alina moved on????) Really, it’s just one of those ships where it’s friends being there for each other until finally sorta realizing that maybe just friends will never cut it for them.

Can you tell me more about Katia Volkova?

YES! Omg, I am so excited to see everyone with their S&B ocs now that the show is getting closer. So let’s talk my life and love, Katia Volkova.

Katia is the only known Soul Seer, which basically means she can read someone’s soul and see the unhidden version of themselves. This would clearly catch the Darkling’s interest and would scare/intrigue Katia when they first meet.

She definitely has a toxic relationship with the Darkling in that she thinks for years that she can heal that part of him that clearly lost his humanity, but by the time Alina shows up, she’s about ready to give up hope.

She tries her best to take care of Genya and Alina because they are really the only two people who ever give her the time of day.

Like Alina, she just wants a more normal life. Not that she hasn’t enjoyed the luxuries of the palace, but she wants to be a wife and mother who lives out in the country.

There are a lot of whispers in the Little Palace about why the Darkling keeps her around. Katia tries not to let them get to her.

Her love interest will be an oc Fjerdan named Ragnar Kolbeck, who meets her during an extremely difficult time in Katia’s life as it won’t just be her life she needs to worry about anymore.

Kind-hearted and an all-around beautiful soul, we can only hope that everything that is about to come her way doesn’t break her.

i am SO excited!! i know it’s been out for a few weeks but i haven’t gotten the chance to watch past the first episode, but here’s what i can tell you.

general:

i don’t think the flagsmashers are gonna be the enemy, i think it’s gonna be serpent squad because honestly flagsmashers is suchhhhh nationalist propaganda in a way i can’t even figure out how to write justifiably

john will still be here but he won’t be captain america captain america, because steve would never let his legacy go to some rando lmfao

sam and olivia:

when sam is passed the shield, it’s right after olivia realizes that she’s pregnant—so it becomes a decision of whether to settle down with his family or accept the mantle

i do want to bring his family in but it feels. sort of anti-Black to me that they only are able to give him a storyline of his own if it revolves around poverty (and honestly ? i don’t buy into the whole oh nobody paid us thing, it just doesn’t make sense and it especially doesn’t make sense in my version of events), and they also took him out of his community work origins in the comics so i may revisit that as his subplot/motivation

they name their son riley

even though she’s pregnant olivia refuses to be benched and keeps up with both sam and bucky

bucky and juliette:

bucky is obviously in a better place in the bravado universe than canon because. he hasn’t been alone for the last several decades but he’s still struggling; i do think he’s in therapy but i don’t think his therapist sucks as much as the one in the show

juliette, since the previous films, has probably worked with a more benevolent form of the flagsmashers during the blip/snap—she helped redistribute resources to the countries that were most impacted by the snap, and helped advocate for more cooperative relationships. but she was also grieving a lot—her father, bucky, sam, audrey, etc. and so she and steve go to grief counseling together, and even after endgame they continue to attend their support group

juliette and bucky live in brooklyn and have a dog named patch because he has a spot over his eye. the dog is missing a leg and so just sleeps all day but helps them both with their nightmares

sharon and beckett

beckett is a cia agent who tracks sharon down (she’s not a fugitive but she decided to drop off the grid out of disillusionment, though she still speaks to audrey) because he needs her help with the serpent squad thing. he does so by breaking into her apartment, and she kicks his ass

they get off to a rough start—she thinks he has ulterior motives (which he does) and he thinks she’s making snap judgments (which she is)—but they make an unfairly compatible team; he’s all charm and she’s all bite

the two of them converge with sam and bucky a bit later when they’re all chasing the same lead, and eventually the storylines join.

at the end of it, sam does eventually choose to take on the mantle (bc he deserves it) and forms a team with bucky and juliette. olivia decides to write comic books that steve helps illustrate in what starts as a way to tell her son about everything that’s happened but ends up becoming something much bigger. sharon and beckett then both join sword :) that’s what i know for now but a lot is up to change!

pretty lowkey life, not the wealthiest but she has a bookstore, basically lives in it, a total cat lady - her adopted parents still try to get her well not married but a partner or at least more friends, that’s probably how her and anthony meet, through their parents meddling

diana:

kindergarten teacher, her music is more of a hobby she does for friends or the random youtube video lol; her and simon are best friends and get married the same way, to stop people from asking WHen ArE yOu GoNna gEt maRried

jo & nathaniel:

jo would be a busybody lmao, she would a famous pianist-composer, start a charity for young musicians and a nonprofit hotline for the lgbtq+ community

nathan would be out as bi and go after his dreams to be an artist, but would probably be cut off from his parents tbh, but that wouldn’t stop him from being successful, spite is a powerful motivator

joanna’s relationship with dinah would have probably lasted longer if there wasn’t the pressure on jo to marry, but jo and nathan and dinah and sophia would still be very close friends
