I think the only thing “romantic” as a suffix (objectum-romantic, machine-romantic, ...salarian-romantic) means to Me is “I have a strong attraction to and affection for this thing/being but I don’t really care if it’s reciprocal, and in fact, it’s probably easier if it’s not reciprocal, because maybe their idea of ‘romantic’ is different from Mine and requires more from Me than I’m able to offer, so it’s easier for everyone involved this way”.

Which... is probably why I like machines and salarians, both of which are canonically non-romantic and non-sexual.
