'Power Rangers' TV Series Introduces First LGBTQ+ Ranger

Producer Simon Bennett wrote on Twitter that having LGBTQ+ representation on the show is “overdue.”

"The Power Rangers television show has introduced its first LGBTQ+ ranger.

In the latest iteration of the much beloved franchise, Power Rangers Dino Fury, Izzy, the Green Ranger, is seen with the character Fern. The pair walk hand in hand in the final moments of episode 13, which is shown in a clip that’s making its way around social media. The series won't hit U.S. audiences until later this month.

On Twitter, fans celebrated the scene, while others said LGBTQ+ characters should have been introduced much earlier.

One user even called it a marketing ploy.

Power Rangers producer Simon Bennett responded to the tweet writing, “I assure you, it was no marketing ploy. And yes, [well] overdue.”

Javelia proposal headcanon. (Sorry, I forgot to post this😫)

So, I've had a chat with two of my friends @skyland2703 and @dazzlingkm and we've decided that I should make this for Javelia to top up the Wedding headcanon they made. Soooooo, enjoy!!

Javi obviously gets nervous and decides to confide in Zayto, Aiyon and Ollie.

Obviously, that ends with Ollie and Aiyon arguing on what kind of ring Javi should get for Amelia. Zayto, then saves the day, by suggesting that he should get her a ring that says...Amelia.

At sunset, Javi takes Amelia to a waterfall just outside of Pine Ridge, where they arrive to see flowers and pictures layed out in a big heart.

Amelia looks at the photos and realizes that those are photos of her and Javi, the funny ones, the sweet ones, the romantic ones...

Then she turns around and sees Javi smiling at her. He begins to tell her about how much he loves her, and all the adventures they've been on together. He tells her about all the things that make her special.

Amelia thought it was just a date, up until she saw Javi go on one knee, and she begins to sob happily.

He pulls out a box, and opens it to reveal a beautiful ring with a pink and purple diamond on it.

When he asks if she would be his wife, she says nothing....... And then kisses him with everything she has.

Amelia smiled into their kiss as she felt Javi putting the ring on her finger.

All their friends and family come out of their hiding spots with cameras in their hands, revealing that they had been taking videos and pictures this whole time.

Warden Garcia and Rina come up to them, and the warden tells Amelia that he noticed how happy Javi had been being with her, so he tells her that he approve of them being together (let's be honest, the warden probably wouldn't have been happy with his son being with a rule breaking ghost hunter😁)

Izzy comes up to her brother and tells him how happy that she is with him finally proposing to Amelia. The boys come up to him and tell him how proud they are.

Meanwhile, Tarrick and Santaura have been watching this happening from the distance, happy to see that their daughter is happy.
