I had something else in mind with Diomedes and Elektra's reunion and then escape from Achaea (it was about Elektra's marriage with Pylades and her realising that she doesn't love this guy, her brother does, and the one she loves is that annoying merchant who hasn't visited in God knows how long. And so she's plotting, thinking of running away to Corinth to try and see if he's there when Diomedes shows up. And then Elektra telling him that she needs to leave Mycenae right now because she's being married off (for real this time around if we're going by Euripides) and Diomedes is sort of like 'fuck it I'm taking you back to my kingdom idc if you're lowborn' and Elektra is all bitch???? wdym your kingdom???? also I'm not lowborn???? and so that's how Diomedes finally tells her that he is Diomedes, former King of Argos, current King of Horse Argos. Elektra starts cackling because ain't no way this is who she fell for but also who tf names their kingdom "Horse Argos" which is how Diomedes finds out that she is none other than Agamemnon's own daughter Elektra, more than worthy enough to be his wife, and nearly has a heart attack realising that he's been flirting and fooling around, taking his liberties with none other than Agamemnon's own daughter. Anyway, he pulls a Paris, and they both runaway to Horse Argos and Elektra changes her name to Euippe to "match the theme" but also to wipe the trail behind her).
