your lashes look gorgeous in your selfies, how do you achieve this bright-eyed effect, if you don't mind my asking? do you use an eyelash curler? also, do you have any favourite mascaras?

Sometimes I do use an eyelash curler, but it’s definitely not in my routine, since my lashes are quite curved and long naturally, luckily.

On to the mascara review (I’m no beauty blogger, but I do love my makeup); I have two favourite mascaras:

1) Armani Black Ecstasy in Obsidian Black (sephora)

+ It is my absolute favourite mascara ever. The effect is quite dramatic without clumping the lashes together.

+ A wonderful, deep black.

+ t b h it looks so gorgeous, look at that packaging with the red and black!!!

- My best friend doesn’t love this one because it doesn’t curl the eyelashes very much, so an eyelash curler might be required with shorter or less curled lashes.

2) Dior Addict It-Lash in It-Black (sephora)

+ The eyelashes look very definite. It looks like every single lash is separate from the next.

+ Very lightweight formula; I use this when I want a fresher look, with less emphasis on the eyes.

+/- Isn’t very showy — which is what you might be looking for, depending on the occasion, need, personal preference.

Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara Follow Up!

Well lovelies, I asked and received! My awesome friend Chantal had also bought Dior's Dior Addict It-Lash. Chantal mentioned, and showed, that she had much straighter lashes than I do so I could see how much of a curl you really got with this mascara.

Chantal got an amazing amount of curl from the It-Lash formula and I'm happy to confirm that their claims hold true!

Dior Addict It-Lash Mascara Review

Hello lovelies! It's my day off and that means another new product to review! Today I'll be talking about Dior's Dior Addict It-Lash mascara.

I have never owned any Dior products before until my Dior Addict Lip Glow and when this came in the store, my Beauty Leader had to show it to me. Let me preface this by saying that Robin (my BL) is an enabler...she's gotten me to buy so many things because of her excitement.

Let me start off with saying that I love the Dior Addict line of packaging. It's simple, sleek, and eye catching. But the packaging is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this mascara.  Dior boasts that the formula will give you volume length and "addictive, vibrant colour for fabulous impact". Boy, does Dior tell the truth.

The brush is nice and chubby, but not overly so, along with it being made of a somewhat similar plastic, silicone material that the Buxom Mascara Bar brushes have that helps evenly distribute the product and separate your lashes. The mascara becomes insoluble after it dries and it also allows you to add multiple coats without it getting clumpy but becomes easy to remove when in contact with lukewarm water.

Dior also promises that this mascara will give you that doe-eyed look with long, curved lashes. I have long lashes to begin with so I don't know how much more doe-eyed I could possibly get. The top photo are my normal, naked lashes, the bottom is after I applied two coats of Dior Addict It-Lash and the photo below to show the curl.

I'd love to see how much length and curl this gives to someone with straighter and shorter lashes than myself. I do love how it separates my lashes more so than my Buxom mascara and the black is extremely intense, which is something I really look for in my mascara.

For $26, it better deliver all that it claims and it certainly does. I love it so much, I just ordered a second bottle in pink.
