Ok so like I shall not want has been giving me life all these months, and as I was reading the latest update, it occurred to me how objectively hilarious the baptism scene could be. Like they each feel what the other does and they're just like "man, what a weird side effect of the bliss!"

Honestly, all of the “Marked” scenes with John have such fun and interesting implications and it makes them such a blast to think about writing (the baptism is coming up btw) -- And the whole, getting drugged by the Bliss thing actually comes up later in the fic because like, “Please for fucks sake, I’m trying to work here and you’re blitzed out of your skull.” “WELL I WOULDN’T BE IF YOUR FAMILY WASN’T FUCKING CRAZY” is such a fun an interesting interaction.

But, Bridget was also born and raised Catholic, so I’m personally looking forward to “You WILL confess.” And she’s just like, “Yeah, about that... You’re not a Catholic Priest and therefore can’t actually absolve me of my sins AND THEN if we’re getting technical... The Catholic Church doesn’t even really believe that when you’re absolved of your sins they’re really gone so... Nice try though!” And John’s just ready to McFreaking Lose It. Because FUCKING CATHOLICS.
