So, there’s a new Directorsound album out, which I found out by chance last night. I listened to it on my way to work this morning. It’s beautiful, and as usual with Directorsound I’m not sure how to label it (which is a good thing). Ambient soundtrack for slow promenades through quiet small town streets on sunny weekend mornings in early autumn, perhaps? Seniors are out walking their dogs, someone's reading the morning paper in an open-air café, while the wind rustles with the pages. Calm melancholia. Piano, some gentle accordion, soft guitars. Did I mention that it’s beautiful?
