Hunters could often spot other hunters almost immediately, as Alys learned over the past half a year. It was less of a creepy ‘sense’ ( though that was certainly involved as well ) and more of a seeing one’s own demeanour mirrored in someone else’s. The constantly shifty eyes, the shady-looking duffle bag, comfortable and worn clothes, tense posture... oh and it helped if the said person was carrying a distinctive symbol on them, like the silver bracelet of the girl she’d been observing, adorned with pentagrams, Anasazi symbols and all manner of other protective charms.

She looked to be alone, which was unusual for a hunter of her age, but so was Alys... at least for the moment. A tough job meant tension between partners on occasion, and sometimes one just needed to take a break from the other. Though she understood that, she still played their fight in her head over and over again, driving herself mad with the memory, several bottles of beer purchased thanks to her fake ID.

In a moment of rare boldness, she approached the intriguing stranger, taking a seat on her small table with confidence and ease. “You’re new.”

“Bloody cold last night, it was.... You sure you were alright sleeping a bit away Arry?” Gendry wanted to watch out for all the younger ones. Hot Pie and Lommy were annoying, but they were only kids... and Arry... Well, he had noticed how Arry would avoid going to piss anywhere nearby. He had had his suspicions about the very petite ‘boy’ from the first couple of days on the journey. He would not state it out loud, or even tell Yoren. No, he was not going to risk that kid being hurt if his suspicions were true.

He was glad that he could keep an eye on Arry, try and get rid of suspicion to be sure that if he was right, no one else found out. He did want to know what the hell Yoren was thinking bringing Arry, or if he even knew... It certainly made Gendry wonder more and more about the kid.... Who was Arry really and why were they travelling to the Wall? He wouldn’t pry, though... he would let Arry tell him if the other felt like telling him.
