really really liking dirt 2 (the racing video game developed by codemasters and released in 2009)
much like forza horizon, the game has a festival vibe, featuring famous drivers such as ken block and tanner foust, the aesthetic is geen with big blocky letters
sometimes drivers will challenge you to a 1 on 1 and that boosts your relationship with them (yes you have a relationship with each driver, it just lists if they like/dislike you based on how you drive when racing against them)
you can use the same car for multiple event types, you just need to pay a small fee to convert it to be suitable for the event type, which is really nice
if you wanna 100% the game, you will need to buy different cars eventually, but for the casual player, money is never an issue, thankfully
rally races have a "simple" or "technical" option for what your co-driver calls out (simple being terms like "easy right, medium left", etc, and technical being "right 1, keep mid, left 3, don't cut")
like most games in the late 2000s, it has a lot of bloom and post processing effects but those can be disabled with mods
can't wait to get into the faster events later in the game
