LIGHT
by Christie Thynne, Holly Jones, Jazmin Key and myself.
Music is “Sea Above, Sky Below” by The Dirty Three.
This was the final piece that we made, as a group, for the project “Let There Be Light”.
Collating footage we had obtained collectively and individually over the few weeks of this project we wanted to look at the relationship with the sky the sea and light. how it reflects, refract and responds tothese different elements. We chose to film it in black and white as we collectively had the idea that an old silent film was the aesthetic we wanted to work with. The poem at the bottom of the video is an old Sufi poem , chosen by Christie that seemed sp perfect for the piece.
There will always be this.
