what drugs specifically do the northern islanders take/do. It is socially excepted to smoke weed, or is it common? That is honestly the only question that has come to my mind thus far, but my mind is also a bit groggy at the moment, so I will more than likely have more to ask later on, if you do not mind of course! But in all honesty, anything that you would/could share, or may be helpful knowledge, or just interesting facts are greatly appreciated! Share whatever you would like! And thank you!
It is mostly weed, and it is very common in certain villages further north, to smoke and/or grow it. The other islands also have people that do smoke weed, and in my school amongst especially the 8th graders, and some of the boys in my year (9th grade), it's very popular. My brother and his friends smoke it too sometimes. If you don't know the right people, it' very hard to find any, because it's a very secret community, and as of what I understand, it isn't like that in other places? It seems so easy to get ones hands on it, in other countries. It isn't socially acceptable amongst the older people, but the youngsters are fine with it. We don't mind it at all, but it is illegal. The other most common drug is Ecstasy. But I rarely go north, to the "larger" cities, like Klaksvík and such, while it's night time, which is when they start doing them in public. I've been to a party once, at a mates house in Klaksvík, where I was offered ecstasy twice, by two different people. I didn't say yes though, I was 14 then.I'm assuming that other kinds of drugs are up here from time to time, but it's not much as of what I know, but then again, I'm not in the drug community here.:3
