Its one thing to see a person with a trans/lgbtq/pride pin or other merch outside and give each other the nod. Its a whole different thing to see a by-you-assumed trans person outside who doesnt "pass" as well and try to get their attention or even walk up to them and go "im trans too!" or a fucking thumbs up or some shit. Both as a trans person yourself or as an ally. Some trans people might react well to it but 99.9% of the time you basically just sound like "you dont pass and i know youre trans because you dont pass". The possibility of you causing dysphoria and self doubt/insecurity in them is so so high, especially if they havent been out for long or arent even out yet (which you have no way of knowing. Because you dont know them.) And dont forget that trans people who, in your opinion, don't pass, can be stealth as well. That there is trans people who dont even want to be labelled/recognized as trans or use the label differently than you. Like just treat them like anyone else or just keep walking
