So I should make the google doc of things, but then I’d have to redo the chapter numbers and I’m not exactly free enough yet, so Imma toss in two random excerpts that stuck out to me instead lol

Again, it’s a pretty long post so be warned!

When you’re in a writer’s block, you reread and it sorta helps fish out new ideas.

Discarded Ideas

Now that we’ve gotten to a far enough point, I wanted to point something out. All in all, I have done a couple revisions here and there, but the one I probably did most on is the 2nd DRB. It’s funny I’m admitting to it, but it’s true and I thought I could talk about it and maybe post a google doc or something of these discarded writings. I’ll be honest though, it’s only because I can talk about them without spoiling more of the plot that I’m writing this lol

Originally, the Sasara’s death memory was supposed to come when Samatoki reached the wall and the meetings with everyone was a bit different. BAT was still the last to come, but instead of DH getting into the fire mess, I was going to toss BAT to the burning building instead. Jyushi would run to get help while Hitoya and Kuko played Sasara and Rei. That uh, that obviously didn’t happen since BAT was al there and prefectly fine in Chapter 71.

There was another one when Fling Posse and Matenrou leaves, because Ramuda and Jakurai talk with each other separetely near the buliding which goes up in flames and Samatoki has a panic attack.

The other rewrite was used mainly because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to wait for the rap abilities to come out or if I wanted to make them up. So during the BB vs DH round, the terrorists who lit the building on fire would come shoot up Chuuohku. Samatoki would awesomely save everyone by showing off his speaker ability, the giant skeleton squashing the imposters and making a  getaway alongside a Saburo who also had a somewhat perfected speaker ability. All the divisions would ride the skeleton and make a getaway to Ikebukuro where the old MCD buliding was at. There Samatoki would tell everyone the truth and offer Fling Posse some candy. The memory would also be placed as soon as Samatoki saw the gates for the second time in the current timeline.

That being said, we didn’t get any of that. Instead, The 2nd DRB went smoothly. So smoothly that Samatoki thought he had to ruin it by saving Iojaku and pretending to be dead. And having to lie about his identity. Truly amazing :’D
