((man tho I could literally talk nonstop about disci’s character development in relation to being really bitter and angry at mai like don’t test me I could go on for ages b/c him being pissed at her actually says a whole fucking lot about how he’s grown like??? oh my god??? she was his first friend and the first person he chose to respect and refer to with a -san honorific, and he trusted her so much and- according to the dusty relationships page i haven’t updated in forever- she’s “always there for [him] when [he] needs her”, but WHOOPS she’s been slacking off a lot ever since he almost relapsed on lucille?? and he’s been forced to deal with problems and grow and learn on his own or with the help of multiple friends and he’s learned to rely on himself alone for most shit tbh

but she did make so many promises??? to always be there for him??? and be there “every step of the way”, and when he was still learning what friendship even was she helped him define it as people who are always there for each other and only want one another to be happy?? but she’s not only broken ALL those promises, she’s defying that very definition of a friend by not being there for him and??? that sucks coming from HIS FIRST FRIEND??? HIS FIRST BEST FRIEND??? he’s had enough friends and hardships without her by now to recognize her as being really shitty to him and??? he’s fucking mad??? like he’ll forgive people right away for being mean b/c of fucking m!as or some shit but? she’s just been legitimately shitty??? and i am so proud of him for being mad at her??? like he might even find her so unworthy of respect anymore he might go back to -me?? possibly?? which is a bIG THING SINCE SHE WAS THE FIRST -SAN AND ALL-- BOY SHE HAS A LOT TO MAKE UP FOR TO GET HIM TO TRUST HER AGAIN TBH))
