The clock was about to strike midnight as the doctor makes another appearance at his regular spot, planning to reward himself with a drink or two while at the same time taking care of business. What was unusual about this visit was him arriving on his own instead of bringing another so-called date with him to share the evening and the night with him. He’s wearing his mischievous smirk momentarily as he approaches the counter and takes a seat, nodding at the bartender to get his attention.
“The usual please. And this time I’d also like to order a moment to discuss something with you, whenever you’re free to do so,” he requests the bartender in a calm tone as pulls out his wallet to get ready to pay. “Somewhere secluded. This is for your ears only,” he slides some cash the bartender’s way with an additional and rather generous tip.
