Ok so I have this headcanon that Quiet is really good at playing cards. Suspiciously good. So good a significant portion of staff lost money to her. They are not allowed to play for real money anymore and had to resort to dumb bets instead, like "the loser has to clean Pequod with toothbrush". Machine Pequod, not human Pequod. They asked human Pequod, but he said something like "not on this salary" and offered suggestions where they can shove a toothbrush instead.
