*incubi in this universe operate within dreams and each council member rules a different dream domain. the demon realm lore will go more into the roles + demon types + office operations. all incubi have horns, wings, and a barbed tail that start off black. if they are promoted to the incubi council, they are awarded their "colors". not my photos, i saved these pictures a long ass time ago i'm sorry i don't have the og person to credit. if anyone knows pls lemme know, otherwise, if i find it i will add it here later <3 also i p much exclusively write d-day yoongi so his hair is different than in this picture but still •^•*
1. jin. // rose
- the head incubus of vacation sleep.
- whenever a human falls asleep while on vacation, jin rules over their dreams. since this type of sleep tends to be heavier, and a bit longer, jin is usually the busiest. however, his schedule fluctuates the most. so the rest of the council tries to be accommodating to him - especially during the holiday season.
- he prefers summer vacation over winter vacation solely because "the stress of winter vacation" exhausts him. that being said, his favorite work assignments are pto vacation days that humans take just to have a day to themselves. he claims that there is always extra desire from these humans that comes from getting away from work.
- he is always seen with a silver compact mirror that he uses to ensure that he matches the appearance of his work assignments desire. when he's not out on a work assignment, he most often uses it as a fidget toy. although, sometimes it's used as a weapon against the other council members (see part one).
- the incubi assigned to jin's domain have it pretty easy. he's incredibly easy going with punishments and hates paperwork. so if anyone falls short on their quota, he'll pick up the slack by hunting around a bit more himself.
- his knowledge of the human realm is slightly better than the rest of the councils but it's incredibly idealistic. the dreams he visits often involve fantasized versions of beaches, cruises, tourist attractions etc...although he isn't supposed to, he often kicks back in dream cafes and has been caught a few times sunbathing on the beach.
2. yoongi. // obsidian
- the head incubus of unnatural sleep (specialized focus in maladaptive daydreamers).
- narcoleptics, maladaptive daydreamers, being under anesthesia...whenever humans dream in some "unnatural" state, yoongi is the ruler of this domain. his work schedule is erratic to say the least, but it's far from slow. his gluttonous nature makes him an incredibly hard worker and the others both respect and are annoyed by his skill.
- because he likes to appear in his true form, maladaptive daydreamers are his favorite to visit because he becomes their desire. like a parasocial relationship that he can actually indulge himself in. this is incredibly frowned upon in the demon realm of course, but still, those are the assignments that he fulfills first every Night.
- he has a pocketwatch that he keeps on a chain in order to track Time while he's at work. it was a gift that he received from jackson back when he was still the asmodeus. jackson noticed yoongi's skill for forming repeat customers early on, but because there are so many assignments to take care of each Night, his intent was to ensure that yoongi lived up to his potential and didn't get fired. yoongi feels indebted to jackson because of this. so, despite his gluttonous habits, he's always on Time.
- incubi in yoongi's domain typically love how little they have to work. at least, at first they do. but the elder incubi often wind up feeling restless and wish that he would give them more assignments. he rarely punishes bc, like jin, he also hates paperworks. but he can be a harsh judge.
- his knowledge of the human realm is now the best, thanks to his punishment. but he's also the most aware of how little he actually knows. the dreams he visits are usually pretty odd (ex: the shark dream) so he's gathered most of his information through bits and pieces. out of the entire incubi council, he has the least amount of interest in the human realm.
3. hobi. // cerulean
- the head incubus of nighttime sleep (natural sleep).
- whenever humans fall asleep naturally or in their beds at night, their dreams fall into hobi's domain. he has an incredible amount of pride over it and he see's himself as the "most pure" of the incubi because of it. his work schedule functions like a 9-5, and he runs his domain like the military in order to keep it that way.
- his favorite work assignment is sleepovers and he considers himself a "sensual multitasker". before each shift starts, he sets aside a pile of sleepover assignments for himself and he organizes them based on the desires he has the most interest in.
- the item hobi keeps on deck is his bottle of baby oil. despite the fact that incubi present themselves as their preys desire, he claims that his oiled up physique is why he has so many repeat customers. it's his signature, even when he's not working an assignment, and the rest of the council has made a strict rule that he's not allowed to sit in any seat but his own bc of it.
- the incubi in hobi's domain are often found around the liquid lust cooler, gossiping and nervously glancing around w darting eyes. he holds rigorous and mandatory early Evening training sessions at random, and, he has high expectations for his domain team to always go above their assignment quota. there are only 16 documented cases of the flame as punishment in the demon realm, and 2 of those were (allegedly) sentences from hobi.
- hobi considers himself a sommelier of the human realm bc of his domain. he was a human studies major at the demon academy and believes that he knows the most abt them based on the dreams he visits. he is usually way off base with every fun fact he has, but he's incredibly passionate about the subject.
4. namjoon. // veridian
- the head incubus of power naps.
- if someone is power napping in an office or dozing off to recharge, their dreams will be in namjoon's domain. his work assignments are quick but constant, and he has developed an affinity for hardworking business humans because of it. his domain team operates smoothly and he's taken a lot of inspiration from human realm business offices. his domain is the only one that participates in "casual Day 5". this ritual goes against jimin's strict dress code but, jimin gives namjoon some leeway out of respect.
- his favorite prey are ceo's in desperate need of stress relief. and the incubi council is incredibly sick of his aftercare ramblings. to be fair to them, he does act like he invented the concept all on his own.
- namjoon's item is a silver canteen. a hydroflask showed up in an assignments dream one Night and he became obsessed. unfortunately, no such thing exists in the demon realm. so, he's had to make do with an old silver canteen that he found in the odd closet in jimin's fucked up office.
- the incubi in namjoon's domain generally have no complaints. he's a fair boss and quite lenient, he gives out assignments based on skill and hard work, and he is the most reasonable judge out of the entire council. that being said, the incubi that work for him really wish he would stop making them do yoga retreats because there is nowhere in the demon realm that makes for a good meditation spot.
- namjoon was a double major at the demon academy, and graduated (w honors) with both a human studies and Time management degree. he views his love of humans as incredibly honorable and believes that demons and humans are actually quite alike.
5. jimin. // lilac
- former head incubus of daydreams // current asmodeus (boss) of all lust demons.
- all lust demons (incubi, sirens and succubi) report to the asmodeus. for Daily tasks, jimin runs numbers + logistics between the demon and human realm to ensure that no anomalies pop up and that everything is running smoothly. every Week, jimin meets with the council of each group and ensures that there is no shady behavior, that assignment quotas are being met, and to check in on the general way things are going. once a Month, all of the boss demons have a meeting to compare notes and numbers. and very, very, very rarely - jimin must meet w JYPapi (aka Satan) but he usually only communicates through obscenely lengthy faxes. his schedule is insane and he really hates his job. think: unpaid intern, 60+ hr work week level stress.
- jimin's favorite task is meeting w the incubi council. he will not openly admit it, but he misses his old job with them immensely. although demons do not have "homes", it's the closest thing to home that he's ever had. yoongi used to be his old rival, but since jimin took on the role of asmodeus, he's developed a special soft spot for him.
- jimin's item is his cast iron umbrella which was gifted to him and his assistant (the siren jeonghan) when he was promoted. the ceiling fans in their office sporadically shoot out razor blades so, what he thought was a strange congratulatory gift is actually more of a necessity.
- the lust demons that work under jimin both love and are annoyed by him. he's generally a very sweet boss but he is also a huge stickler for rules. at first he was lenient with any department falling behind on their quota, but that didn't last long once he realized how much paperwork he had to do to excuse it. he's incredibly quick to threaten bad behavior with tattling to Satan but most departments have learned that it's an empty threat. despite all of that, he can be ruthless if needed. the lust departments generally respect him and see how hard he works. and they don't go out of their way to make his job harder than it already is (the incubi council is the only exception to this).
- jimin hates the human realm. if it weren't for them, he would have a much easier job and he describes them as "fickle sticky beasts". during his time on the incubi council, the others jokingly coined the term "people pleaser" bc of how hard he worked to fulfill his preys desire and he's had a chip on his shoulder about it ever since.
6. taehyung. // garnet
- head incubus of travel sleep.
- if anyone falls asleep on a plane, in a car, train, or any mode of transportation...the dreams they have fall into taehyung's domain. his schedule is the most easy going and he prefers it that way. his favorite form of transportation is train, and he likes to believe that if he had been born a human, he would've been a train conductor.
- taehyung's favorite assignments are travelers taking the red-eye. according to him, the late night travel makes them borderline delirious and their desire becomes uninhibited. he secretly will hunt for a few different dreams on those trips, and his quota numbers infuriate hobi bc "that's cheating".
- the item that taehyung keeps by his side is his neck pillow. like namjoon, no such thing exists in the demon realm but he became obsessed with them after seeing an assignment wear one. he took to fashioning one by stuffing a bunch of tourist t-shirts into a blanket and sewed it together himself. he almost never takes it off, even during seduct-offs.
- the incubi working in taehyung's domain have it the easiest by far. regularly scheduled assignments, very few rules, and taehyung has never once sentenced anyone working for him. however, he has instated a mandatory "fun shirt" day (mostly for himself) that directly goes against jimin's dress code. and, if any incubus makes the mistake of claiming a prey that taehyung wanted, he has been known to fly off the handle. luckily, or perhaps unluckily, his punishments usually involve wearing a lei or some tacky trucker hat so, it really isn't too bad.
- taehyung considers himself to be the most well-traveled of the incubi. incubi only appear physically before a human for a brief second: to scratch them w their nails, administer their venom, and ensure that their prey won't wake up too soon. but since taehyung likes to snag a few prey from the same place, he gets to see a bit more of the human realm locations that he visits. even with that extra bit of exposure, he should not be trusted when asked anything about humans or their realm.
7. jungkook. // indigo
- former head incubus of microsleep // current head incubus of daydreams.
- jungkook's schedule used to be relatively easy. microsleep is not long, even when going by demon Time. so when he was asked to absorb jimin's old position, he didn't think it would be that difficult. and he's been paying the price ever since. humans daydream often and frequently. and jungkook's schedule is completely booked every Night.
- his favorite assignments are sweet daydreams. slow make out sessions, laying down and murmuring sweet nothings...any daydream where he can lowkey take a break and fulfill a desire at the same time. he used to think that humans were rather ignorant when it came to sex before taking on the daydream gig. now he mostly wonders how they ever do anything else.
- jungkook's item is cinnamon listerine strips. i know, i know, how do they have those in the demon realm but not neck pillows? well, the demon realm actually invented them. when he realized how much more Time he had w assignments in daydreams, he asked jimin to order them for him in bulk. "even if it's a dream, i can't be kissing this many people with stanky ass breath".
- the incubi working in jungkook's domain feel for the poor guy. and they take on as many assignments as they can to help him out. they're incredibly encouraging and have offered many times to help show him the ropes. one time he dozed off during a lust seminar and missed when his name was called to speak, so a senior incubus went up in his place while some others hid him from jimin.
- jungkook took one human studies class at the academy but he feels quite comfortable around them. he can relate to more human emotions like anxiety, exhaustion and overwhelm, so he has developed a quiet attachment to both humans and their realm.
