🍀Once upon a time a mayor of Small Town Mindanao and his wife travelled the world and saw many amazing and beautiful places. Realizing that most of their people would never get to see them, they became very sad. Their sadness was so profound that they decided to bring the world to their town of 60,000 people. Tangub City is home of the biggest Christmas lights festival in the Philippines. I entered a 3-story mock-up of the Notre Dame of Paris with a live choir inside...frolicked in the Garden Fountain of Isola Bella (complete with the unicorn on top!)...saw the St Augustine lighthouse...and visited the Sail Monument of Manama. I saw places I didn’t even know existed...the Vortex Center of Gippsland, Australia and the South African Air Force Memorial. And so the happy people of Tangub paid 20 pesos for a “passport” and got it stamped at each of the 17 countries they get to visit visa-free while the lights are on. Go and #discovertheworldintangub #tangubcity #christmassymbolcapitalofthephilippines #tangub #itsmorefuninthephilippines #christmaslights #supportthelightsoftangub ✨✨✨The lights will be on for the entire month of December!
