CARE TIPS FOR YOUR PET ROBLOXIAN
DISEASE GUIDE - CONTAGIOUS
Welcome to the disease guide series! (I got this from as many studies as I could LOL.) Do be warned! There will be images of these diseases so that you can see what to look out for! This is your warning.
1.Egghead syndrome
Egghead syndrome (Or "Eggihed" for short) is described as a parasite (Hirudo Eggihed) latching onto a host, similar to the pokemon Slowking. This usually happens around the easter season, and is heavily contagious. The larvae for these parasites are often found laying upon a baseplate or other enclosure in the month of april, but can be as early as the end of march and last until the beginning of may. Once finding a host to latch onto, they will often hold onto them temporarily until they either reproduce or find a spot to lay their own eggs, which look similar to the torso of a young Robloxian. It is imperative to make sure your server doesn't mistake it for such due to how it can distress them.
The Hirudo Eggihed entices a Robloxian by rolling around or doing some sort of task, depending on the subspecies, which makes a Robloxian become curious and pick up these parasites. These parasites then make themselves act similar to an accessory, letting their mouths open larger than physically possible for the species to swallow the head of the Robloxian in question, using pheromones to make it so the Robloxian doesn't become distressed. It will then feed on the blood around the neck using small teeth that are about the size of a 30g hypodermic needle (About 8mm). It will use these teeth to not only numb the area of attachment, but will poke small holes into the skin in order to suck blood just enough to keep the host alive. In exchange, its hard body acts as a helmet or "shell".
Many scientists theorize that the Hirudo Eggihed was originally a common leech (Hirudo medicinalis Linnaeus), but being in contact with early Robloxians (A now-extinct species called Digitus Dynaxius) and had adapted to specifically go after the Digitus Robloxle species, gaining a hard shell to live outside of water and developing different patterns to captivate a Robloxians' attention.
Sadly, not all Robloxians are lucky. On occasion, an Eggihed can become permanently fused to the skull of a Robloxian. Over time, it's been shown that they become less contagious and end up acting similar to an exoskeleton. Many find that if this happens, it becomes harder for their Robloxian to eat properly, in which it's reccommended to either:
A. Go to your local exotic vet to crack a hole into the shell, or
B. Put your Robloxian down
Many choose the former.

Symptoms for Egghead syndrome are as follows: Large, oblong, egg-like creature in place of your Robloxians' head.

2.Ericasons disease Ericasons disease is described as the elongating of a Robloxians' limbs, usually hands and arms, due to a bacteria that causes the cartilage cells of a Robloxian to go haywire, producing more cartilage within a short timeframe. This bacteria is contagious and named after the owner of the Robloxian who first got this disease that we know of. This disease can affect other areas of a Robloxian (Such as around the torso, the head, and the feet). Whilst this disease is usually non-lethal, one has to make sure that the benign cartilage growths do not try to grow too heavily inside the body, as it may pierce an organ if not properly monitored. These benign growths can usually be removed if affecting the quality of life for a Robloxian, and is a common disease depending on where you are located. The bacteria that causes this (Nicknamed "Er.sonsi bacteria") thrives well in hotter climates, and thus is extremely common around places closer to the equator; such as Australia, the southern half of North America, the midpoint of the African continent, and the higher half of South America. Due to the rise in global temperature, this bacteria has started spreading to other parts of the world it usually hadn't touched in previous years, such as Wales or Canada.

Symptoms of Ericasons disease include: Random lumps or spikes suddenly starting to appear that are hard when pressed that may or may not break the skin Constant, sudden sneezing fits A low fever A lack of appetite Shivering when it is not cold.
It is recommended to get your Robloxian checked out by an exotic vet, and to also have them check over whoever in your server may have been in contact with the infected Robloxian to catch early signs. If the cartilage growths are too much and are affecting your Robloxians' quality of life, surgery may be needed, and depending on severity; it may be invasive. Luckily, there are tests that can catch early warning signs. These are blood tests that are usually done at your usual check up! And currently, there is a vaccine that is being developed to help prevent this disease.

3.Rabies Much like most mammals, Robloxians can suffer from Rabies. The signs are rather obvious in a Robloxian, as with many other mammals. However, "Dumb rabies" is the most common type as opposed to "Aggressive rabies" that one is expecting to see. The symptoms to watch out for include: Aversion to water Sudden lack of curiosity/lethargy Foamy drool Lack of survival instinct or placing themselves into danger Quicker irritation Sudden Emaciation
It is recommended to make peace with the fact that it is unlikely for your Robloxian to survive. Disinfect as much as possible if this Robloxian was in contact. Once these symptoms start showing, it is much too late. However, if your Robloxian was bitten, it is recommended to get the vaccine. In general it's recommended to vaccinate your Robloxians against disease.
