About the TV show Battlebots
Donald Hudson's, of mutant robotics first fight was in 1996 with tazbot. He would later appear in the battlebots pay per view special Long Beach 1999 with dissector. Donald won the Golden nut 2 times in season 2 and 4 he also won 4 nuts for best driving, best bot design and 2 rumbles. He won the bolt for the desperado tournament with his new bot look jaw, a horizontal spinner bot. Donald has been on the show since the beginning. Another early team was rhino. Their most famous bot was bronco, a flipper bot. They also had the matador and many more that are retired. Team Whyachi was also popular. They won the nut in season 3 with, son of whyachi. That and the original whyachi are retired. Captain shrederator used to be Frisbee and Gigabyte used to be megabyte and super megabyte. Minotaur used to be Toro. The guy who runs Cobalt now is Max who used to drive stinger and sewer Snake. Other bot builders like Ray Billings started fighting in 2004 with last rites. He now competes with tombstone. Rusty is a new fan favorite Back in the 2000's battlebots had weight categories now they do one weight class and one nut. The hazards are mostly the same as back then. The judges decided the winner if the fight lasted the whole 3 minutes.
