Summer Adell and Future (slime man) Zed comms !! 🔥🧟
Currently in the second postlude of Disgaea 7, and seeing the statements in the base about how messing around with time travel to change the past was trouble that could cause damaging changes to the present and you should just cope and move on made me think it was making a callout to the part of Disgaea 6's plot about certain characters changing the past just to save dead people, and the thought of that made me crack up for some reason.
Honestly, considering how many characters in this series managed to eventually get over their traumas and come out better for it, I kinda understand.
D6: "It's totally fine to change the past in order to save someone you care about."
D7: "No, only bad things can come from changing the past. Just learn how to move on from the pain without breaking the universe."
That's not bringing up Makai Kingdom, where Petta travels back in time to help her father for seemingly unnecessary reasons and Zetta does it just to pick a fight with Overlord Babylon and changes the past.
EDIT: Also just remembered that in Disgaea D2, Artina gets sent back in time by Archangel Flonne to steal money from Hoggmeiser (possibly for that goddamn mecha of hers), even though I'm sure the character still exists in Disgaea 4 (albeit unseen as a moneylender via the old cellphone mechanic).
And even if it was unintentional on Fuka and Desco's part, the Timeleap scenario in 4 where they bring back Nagi to the present probably counts. Hell, if you think like me, then all of the Timeleap scenario counts, because I doubt Nagi would've been willing to stick around with Artina given her healing the soldiers or give Valvatorez a sardine in the original story with Fuka and Desco there.
Also-also, Higan (and Ao, I guess) are totally willing to change their present just to pick a fight with Yeyasu's eerily similar-looking dad (which is an unknown number of years/centuries ahead because Nippon-Ichi no longer cares to tell us precise character ages or times because it doesn't matter, I guess).
