yeah I know!! I have the entire album, he’s really good. ten thousand hours and wing$ are really really good and the fact that a song about gay marriage is so popular is awesome. like, it’s awesome that it’s so publicly accepted and that it’s done so well and that it’s changing minds. that really really cool. but it’s a publicity stunt. and there have been actual queer rappers for a long time. so we could let actual gay people talk about their experience of being gay instead of letting a straight guy make money and get famous by talking about it. the Grammy thing was really cool and it was super exciting and awesome. but, again, it’s a publicity stunt and (stealing Savannah’s words) gay marriage was kinda exploited by Madonna and Macklemore so it was cool and I’m happy that it’s so publicly accepted and it’s awesome that the song has done so well. and it’s cool that he’s used his platform to open up a discussion on homosexuality but we could be giving actual queer rappers space to discuss their sexuality instead of letting a straight guy do it for them ALL IN ALL LOTS OF MIXED FEELINGS
