On one hand, criticisms of Kag’s portrayal are fair. I don’t have much recollection on Kag’s opinion/attitude re Sess because it’s been literal decades since I’ve interacted with the source text.
But damn if it wouldn’t be a dick move for her to talk shit about Sess in front of his 14 y/o kids who are also traumatized by Sess’s HNY-actions. If anything, Kag’s emotional intelligence and maturity is outstanding in that scene. Though I’ve no doubt that Kag could (and would) give Sess SHIT about it later.
(Is it too much to hope for a family reunion where Kag goes off on Sess and we get an apology scene? 🥺)
