Official (really) Retirement
At the end of tonight’s practice, I told the team that July 25th would be my last game as a skater. I am honored to have skated with them and proud that my last bout will be with the Circle City Chaos--my babies, my friends, my team.
They were comforted to hear that I’d be around to coach next year, and I and my joints are already feeling relief. I want to give this coaching thing a real shot, and I want to dedicate myself to the team in this new way.
I’m officially an old head as of July 26th. An original. A founder. A roller derby mother. So pleased to be moving into the new role.
