Dave is in elementary school when it happens. He gets pushed down and his sunglasses go skittering across the tiled hallway. He winces at the change in light and glares fiercely up at the larger male, an upperclassmen. Everyone in the hallway stops to stare at the potential fight.

"…what the fuck is wrong with you." Duke hisses as he stares at Dave’s eyes with disgust. "Fucking /freak/."

"Demon eyes."

"What is wrong with his eyes."

"Devil's spawn"

"Fuckin' possessed!"

The accusations and insults fly across the enclosed space, echoing in Dave's mind before he flashsteps through the crowd picks up his shades and just bolts out of the school and through the city not stopping until he reached home. He hesitates at the door and then sneaks into his room through the fire escape instead.

He switched schools when Bro found out.
